fuel espresso

a cup of fuel

Business of the week… has to be fuel espresso, I’ve enjoyed fuel for about 6 years in wellington, almost always excellent coffee and always friendly staff. I noticed on the opportunities page that they may be thinking of expanding internationally… hopefully I will soon be able to enjoy their coffee in europe.

End of week 2, 2009

Since my visa to live and work in the United Kingdom has been confirmed and our tickets have been booked and paid for, there is actually only 9 more weeks of me in Wellington, New Zealand. Then 2 or 3 weeks finding my way to the UK. As I’d quite like to get involved in rowing over there, I am trying to get in reasonable shape (and sell stuff!).

  • In week 2 I have had no V and greatly reduced my coffee intake, though it seems I am drinking a lot more black tea.
  • I haven’t done as well exercising, only 1 hour this week. As well as a long walk around Karori Wildlife Sanctuary, which if you are in Wellington is definitely worth $14 to visit (NZD)

Business of the week: Satay Kingdom / Satay Palace

Both owned and operated by the same people and located within 20 meters of each other in the Left Bank Cuba st., Wellington, The satay group provide quick, cheap and most importantly good tasting malaysian.

End of first week of 2009

2009 … one week of the working year complete and this post is actually a little late – it is the end of week two of 2009! So how have my resolutions gone in week one?

  • Exercise: 2 hours aerobic exercise, and we spent a couple of hours at fergs kayaks (on the climbing wall). A good start to exercising,
  • V? I had a little stockpile, and it was the first week back at work. I’ve revised my goal: I will just refrain from spending too much on V, don’t buy it from anywhere charging more than $2.20 (NZD). But I don’t intend to buy a supply from the supermarket anymore either, it is now a treat, not a daily ritual. Same applies to coffee.
  • Plug a local business a week?

Drinking in the sun at St Johns

Business of the week: St. Johns

It is an excellent place to drink on a summers afternoon; sitting on the grass with friends, as long as it is sunny, not too windy and there is a little room on the grass!
